Terms of Use
This is an agreement between you or the legal entity that you represent and GESIS - Leibniz-Institute for the Social Sciences. The agreement sets forth the terms and conditions on which GESIS is willing to make the services at notebooks.gesis.org available. You are agreeing to the terms and conditions set forth hereafter, by proceeding to access and use the services. The terms and conditions extend the general legal notices of GESIS available at https://www.gesis.org/en/institute/imprint/.
The services are provided as “beta services” for the purpose of testing and evaluation. You agree that we have the sole authority and discretion to determine the period of time for testing and evaluation of the services available at notebooks.gesis.org. We reserve the right to fully or partially discontinue, at any time, temporarily or permanently, any of the services with or without notice to you. You agree that GESIS will not be liable to you or to any third party for any harm related to, arising out of, or caused by the modification, suspension or discontinuance of any of the services for any reason.
Personal information you provide to the services is governed by GESIS data protection policy in accordance with the GDPR. You are responsible for all activities that occur in your account and you agree to inform us immediately of any unauthorized use of your user account via email to notebooks@gesis.org. Furthermore, the services include communications from GESIS, such as service announcements or administrative messages.
You shall not use the services in any manner that could damage or impair any server, network or computer system of GESIS. You shall not violate any applicable local, state, national or international law. In particular, you agree not to use the services for illegal purposes or for the transmission of material that is unlawful, or is otherwise objectionable. You grant GESIS permission to access, copy, store, reformat, and do other things as required for the purpose of providing and monitoring the services. We reserve the right to terminate your access to the services in the event of any suspected unauthorized activity.
